Nepal Rastra Bank issuing Citizen Saving Bond 2080 worth Rs 2 arba from today; Yields 9% return per annum

Nepal Rastra Bank has introduced citizen saving bond targeting the Nepalese citizens only. The bond is worth Rs 2 arba for 5 years. The people meeting the requirements can apply for the bond from Jestha 2, 2074 i.e. today.

As per the notice published by the Rastra Bank, the bond will provide 9% interest annually. The interest will be paid in the interval of 6 months.

Interested people can apply for the bonds from Jestha 2 till Jestha 22, 2075. The bond will be issued on Jestha 28, 2075. And its principal payment will be done on Jestha 28, 2080.

For receiving the interest, the bondholder will be able to receive it from any desired banking institutions. The name, address and account number of the desired bank should be mentioned in the form.

This bond has been introduced for Nepalese citizens only.

People can apply for a minimum of Rs 10,000 to maximum bonds worth an amount not exceeding the size of total issue and divisible by 10,000 without remainder. The bond can be pledged at banking institutions to obtain credit facilities.

The application form can be obtained free of cost from all banks and financial institutions or NRB’s website.
