NEPSE continues downward trend; tanks 8.39 points closing at 1,386.47 points; Insurance sector losing the most today

NEPSE index has declined by 8.39 points or 0.60% today adding to yesterday’s fall of 15.99 points and the day-before-yesterday’s fall of 27 points. After tanking half-century points in couple of days, the market had opened at 1,394.86 points and kept fluctuating throughout the day ultimately closing in the red zone.

Total turnover worth Rs 56.1 crore was witnessed during the trading hours as more than 4.1 lakh unit shares were traded in the whole day. The turnover value today has gone further down.

Nepal Grameen Bikas Bank (NGBBL) stood ahead in terms of turnover as more than 4.25 crore worth of shares were traded. Similarly, Global IME Bank (GBIME) was the top in case of number of shares traded as 66,710 unit shares were exchanged.

Likewise, the top gainer for the day is Swadeshi Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha (SDESI) whose price increased by 6.04% closing at Rs. 1,386. And, Reliance Finance (RLFL) was the top loser of the day losing 6.15% on its price.

The sub-indices for all sectors except Others sector ended in red zone today. Insurance sector lost the most today losing 57.27 points. Similarly the only sector in green, Others, gained 0.72 points.
