NEPSE index loses 4.31 points closing at 1,332.82 points; turnover still in lower zone

NEPSE index has declined today by 4.31 points or 0.32%. The market today had opened at 1,337.15 points, which slanted downwards throughout the day and ultimately landed in red zone. Total turnover worth Rs 53.08 crore was witnessed during the trading hours as more than 10.47 lakh unit shares were traded in the whole day through 3,805 transactions.

Nepal Investment Bank Promoter Share (NIBPO) stood ahead in terms of turnover as more than 22.2 crore worth of shares were traded. Similarly, NIBPO was also the top in case of number of shares traded as 3.85 lakh unit shares were exchanged.

Likewise, the top gainer for the day is Suryodaya Laghubitta Bitiya Sanstha (SLBS) whose price increased by 9.97% closing at Rs. 1,688. And, Central Finance (CFCL)) was the top loser of the day losing 6.25% on its price.

The subindices for Hotels, Manufacturing & processing and Microfinance inclined and landed in green zone. Similarly, the subindices for Banking, Development Bank, Hydropower, Finance, Insurance and Others declined and landed in the red zone. The Insurance sector lost the most today tumbling by 24.45 points.
