NEPSE index still in red; dives 4.32 points with a considerably low turnover of 14.9 crore

NEPSE index has declined today by 4.32 points or 0.32%. The market today had opened at 1,338.17 points, which slanted downwards throughout the day and ultimately landed in red zone. Total turnover worth Rs 14.92 crore was witnessed during the trading hours as more than 3.19 lakh unit shares were traded in the whole day through 1,959 transactions.

Mirmire Microfinance Development Bank (MMFDB) stood ahead in terms of turnover as more than 86.4 lakh worth of shares were traded. Similarly, Gandaki Bikas Bank (GDBL) was also the top in case of number of shares traded as 20,372 unit shares were exchanged.

Likewise, the top gainer for the day is Himalayan Distillery Limited (HDL) whose price increased by 9.95% closing at Rs. 1,337. And, Janautthan Samudayic Laghubitta Bikas Bank (JSLBB) was the top loser of the day losing 4.9% on its price.

The sub-indices for all the sectors except Trading and Manufacturing & processing declined and closed in red today. The top losing sector was Hotels, tumbling by 32.95 points. Similarly, Manufacturing & processing gained the most climbing by 28.16 points.
