NEPSE index tanks 2.06 points closing at 1,337.13 with a turnover of Rs 35.5 crore

NEPSE index has declined today by 2.06 points or 0.15%. The market today had opened at 1,339.1 points, which slanted downwards throughout the day and ultimately landed in red zone. Total turnover worth Rs 35.5 crore was witnessed during the trading hours as more than 8.07 lakh unit shares were traded in the whole day through 3,988 transactions.

Citizens Investment Trust (CIT) stood ahead in terms of turnover as more than 2.4 crore worth of shares were traded. Similarly, Jyoti Bikas Bank Ltd. Promoter Share (JBBLPO) was also the top in case of number of shares traded as 1.48 lakh unit shares were exchanged.

Likewise, the top gainer for the day is Naya Nepal Laghubitta Bikas Bank (NNLB) whose price increased by 9.71% closing at Rs. 2,249. And, Rastriya Beema Company (RBCL) was the top loser of the day losing 5.79% on its price.

The sub-indices for Banking, Development Bank, Hydropower, Finance and Insurance declined and closed in the red zone. Insurance sector lost the most tumbling by 76.45 points. Similarly, Hotels, Manufacturing & processing, Others and Microfinance inclined and landed in green zone. Microfinance sector gained the most climbing by 35.82 points.
