Profit booking by the investors leads NEPSE to decline by 27.64 points; total turnover stands at 1.5 arba against yesterday’s 1.23 arba

NEPSE index has declined by 27.64 points or 1.92% today. The market had opened at 1,439.60, and kept fluctuating throughout the day ultimately closing in the red zone.

Total turnover worth Rs 1.51 arba was witnessed during the trading hours as more than 31.1 lakh unit shares were traded in the whole day. The turnover value today is significantly lower the yesterday.

Nepal Bank Limited (NBL) stood ahead in terms of turnover as more than 9.59 crore worth shares were traded. Similarly, NBL was also the top in case of number of shares traded as 2.6 lakh unit shares were exchanged. After the publication of third quarter's report today, NBL's scrips where highest traded both on turnover and number of shares traded.

Likewise, the top gainer for the day is Swadesi Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Ltd. (SDESI) whose price increased by 9.95% closing at Rs. 1,282. And, Radhi Bidyut Company (RADHI) was the top loser of the day losing 6.69% on its price.

The sub-indices for all sectors ended in red zone today. Insurance sector lost the most today losing 88.44 points. Similarly Hotels sectors also lost a lot today tumbling by 78.78 points.
