"8.50% Sanima Debenture 2087" Allotted to Applicants

Sanima Bank Limited has allotted the "8.50% Sanima Debenture 2087" to the general public on 21st Poush, 2077.

Sanima Bank had opened the issue of "8.5% Sanima Debenture 2087" to the general public from 1st Poush. The debenture had 40,00,000 units issued at a par value of Rs.1000 per unit. Since the issue was not fully subscribed by the general public, the deadline was extended to 15th Poush.

In case the debenture is undersubscribed by the general public (which is the case with Debenture issues in Nepal), the remaining units will be subscribed by institutions. It seems that institutions are comfortable with saving their funds on fixed income assets while the general public is not.

The debenture will mature 10 years from now, i.e. in the year 2087.
