ACSIC Conference Returns to Nepal After 30 Years, 16 Asian Countries to Participate
The Asian Credit Supplementation Institution Confederation (ACSIC) conference is set to commence in Nepal's federal capital this Friday, marking the first time in 30 years the event is being held in the country. The conference, which runs until next Monday, will feature participation from 16 Asian countries, highlighting the cooperative efforts of Asia’s credit guarantee organizations under the ACSIC umbrella.
Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Bishnu Prasad Paudel will inaugurate the event, which also coincides with the 51st anniversary of Nepal’s Deposit and Credit Guarantee Fund (DCGF). Established in 1974, the DCGF plays a crucial role in deposit and credit guarantee services, enhancing investment security for banks and financial institutions across various sectors.
Ramesh Ghimire, Chief Executive Officer of the DCGF, noted that the conference will offer an opportunity for in-depth discussions on current challenges and share experiences from international deposit and credit guarantee agencies. Representatives from all 16 participating countries will contribute to the dialogue.
