Akama Hotel Limited Calls SGM With Agenda To Issue IPO To General Public At Rs. 50

Akama Hotel Limited has called its SGM on 14th Falgun, 2080. The meeting will be held in the Company's Register Office, Akama Hotel, Dhumbarahi, Kathmandu, starting at 11:30 AM.

Among the other agendas, there is an agenda with a proposal to issue an IPO to the general public and to increase the authorized capital, issued capital, and paid-up capital of the company.

Furthermore, there is an agenda to address the matter of splitting the existing 100 rupees face value into 50 rupees, along with revising the articles of association and regulations and there is an agenda to determine the remuneration, allowances, and facilities of the directors.

Akama Hotel Private Limited, established in May 2014 and converted into a public limited company in July 2022, is developing a 4-star deluxe hotel named Hotel Akama in Dhumbarahi, Kathmandu. Supported by the Sanima Group, the project includes 108 rooms, conference/event halls, dining, and a bar on a 1.13-acre land parcel.

It receives strong support from its promoter group affiliated with the diverse Sanima Group of Companies involved in hydropower, hospitality, banking, and insurance. The company's board, led by Chairman Mr. Binaya Kumar Shrestha, leverages his extensive two-decade cross-sector expertise, where he also serves as the chairman of Sanima Middle Tamor Hydropower Limited. Other directors contribute diverse business experiences. Operational management is entrusted to Mr. Bharat Kumar Joshi, the General Manager, boasting over four decades of hospitality industry experience. The Board of Directors is further fortified by a competent and seasoned team spanning various functions and departments.
