Bank of Kathmandu (BOKL) extends the deadline for promoter shares auction because of lockdown

Bank of Kathmandu has extended the deadline of the auction of its 3,16,156 unit promoter shares till 15th Bhadra, 2077.

The previous deadline was Bhadra 08, 2 pm. However, since Kathmandu will be in lockdown from Bhadra 03 to Bhadra, 10, the deadline for the auction had to be extended. Numerous other districts are also under lockdown amidst the growing Covid-19 cases. 

Now, the existing promoters, general public, and institutions can apply/bid for the shares until Bhadra 15, 2 pm. Furthermore, the bids will be opened at NMB Capital, Nagpokhari, from 10 am in the morning on Bhadra 16.

Bank of Kathmandu Limited (BOKL) had auctioned its 3,16,156 units promoter share to the existing promoters, general public, and institutions from Bhadra 1. The minimum bid rate is set at Rs 140. Similarly, the minimum bid quantity is 1000 units while there is no maximum quantity limit for application, meaning that the general public can apply for the entire 3,16,156 units. However, individual investors are required to abide by Nepal Rastra Bank's rule to not exceed the specified quantity of shares per entity.
