Banking and Finance Associations come together to caution customers from COVID-19; promotes use of cashless transfers
As corona virus fear in Nepal rises after the WHO identified Nepal at high risk, Nepal Banker’s Association, Development Bankers’ Association and Nepal Finance Institutions Association have issued a statement to effectively tackle the situation.
As per statement, since the virus can be transferred and contacted through bank notes, the associations have urged users to minimize cash transactions and use other means wherever possible. To support the same, charges on use of ATM cards have been abolished while provision have been introduced to promote cashless transfers.
The association has also urges customers to avoid large gathering in banks and other institutions and avoid going out as much as possible.
