“Banks have been demanding to raise the capital to Rs 15 arba” says Governor Chiranjeevi Nepal

Governor of Nepal Rastra Bank Dr Chiranjeevi Nepal stated that it is the demand of the commercial banks to raise the capital to Rs 15 arba.

Speaking amidst a programme organized for the start of joint transaction of Synergy Finance and Best Finance he said the commercial banks have demanded for the increment in capital.

He also further said that the banks and financial institutions are public property rather than being a private enterprise.

He said “ Banks and FInancial Institutions are not private property, they should be operated like public trusts. They are not the places to earn lot of profit.”
