Breaking Records: Nepal's Gold Market Hits All-Time High
The gold market in Nepal has hit new heights today, setting a record.
According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers' Association (FENEGOSIDA), the price of fine gold has surged to Rs. 1,50,000 per tola, marking a significant increase from yesterday's Rs. 1,49,700 per tola.
Tejabi gold prices have also risen to Rs. 1,49,300 per tola, up by Rs. 300 from the previous day's rate of Rs. 1,49,000 per tola.
Earlier this year, on August 2, 2024, the price of fine gold peaked at Rs. 1,49,900 per tola, highlighting the market's volatility.
In contrast, the price of silver remains steady at Rs. 1,785 per tola.
Despite the domestic surge in gold prices, global economic factors continue to impact the market. Currently, the international gold price stands at $2,451.00 per ounce, while silver is priced at $28.58 per ounce globally.
