Breaking Records: Nepal's Gold Market Hits All-Time High

The price of gold in Nepal continues its upward momentum, setting a new all-time high in the domestic market.

According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association, the price of fine gold surged by Rs. 5,700 in a single day on Wednesday, reaching an unprecedented Rs. 181,100 per tola.

This marks a significant jump from the previous day’s rate of Rs. 175,400 per tola and surpasses the earlier record of Rs. 180,300 per tola set on April 3, 2025.

Tejabi gold, a popular variant among buyers, also witnessed a substantial increase, rising to Rs. 180,400 per tola from Rs. 174,700 per tola the day before.

The surge in prices has not been limited to gold alone. Silver has also experienced a notable rise, climbing by Rs. 65 per tola. The price of silver now stands at Rs. 1,900 per tola, up from Rs. 1,835 per tola on Tuesday.
