The deposits and lending detail of commercial banks are out for the first week of Ashad 2075. The data shows that the deposits have increased by Rs 21 arba whereas the lending has increased only by Rs 6 arba. This shows the deposits inflow is improving, however the banks are shrinking the credit outflow.
As presented in the table below, you can see the decreasing trend of credit. The absolute values or the amount figures are going up, but the percentage increment shows that the amount being added is declining each week.
Similarly, the deposits figures are slow increasing in an increasing rate. If the trend continues, the liquidity shortage can be eased with a few months’ time. Along with that, the circulation of government budget too (if it happens in the said time) will bring in fund into the market, further relaxing the situation.
