BYD Celebrates 30th Anniversary with Milestone of 10 Million New Energy Vehicles (NEVs) Produced

BYD, a global leader in new energy vehicles (NEVs) and power batteries, celebrated a historic achievement by rolling off its 10-millionth NEV at its Xiaomo Production Base in Shenzhen. This milestone underscores BYD’s commitment to sustainable transportation and its position at the forefront of the automotive industry.

In a keynote address, BYD’s Chairman, Mr. Wang Chuanfu, reflected on the company’s transformation from a small startup to a multinational corporation with nearly one million employees worldwide. The company reached 5 million NEVs in 15 years, and the next 5 million in just 15 months, highlighting its strategic focus on NEVs and technological innovation.

The 10-millionth vehicle, a DENZA Z9, was presented to Mr. Feng Ji, the founder of Game Science. BYD’s success is attributed to its bold vision, technological capabilities, and strong engineering culture, embodied in the company’s engineers.

Looking ahead, BYD plans to invest 100 billion yuan in developing intelligent technologies to integrate artificial intelligence into its vehicles, ensuring continued innovation and leadership in the global market while advancing sustainable development.
