CAAN Reduces Fuel Surcharges Following Decrease in Aviation Fuel Prices
The Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN) has announced a reduction in fuel surcharges for domestic flights, effective from Tuesday, in response to the recent decrease in aviation fuel prices by Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC). The surcharge reduction ranges from Rs 20 to Rs 265, depending on the flight destination.
The most significant reduction, Rs 265, applies to flights to Biratnagar and Nepalgunj, while the smallest reduction, Rs 20, affects flights to Lukla and Phaplu. This adjustment follows NOC's decision to lower aviation fuel prices by Rs 5 per liter.
As a result, the fuel surcharge for flights to easily accessible destinations has been set at Rs 4,212.82 per passenger per hour, and for flights to remote destinations, it is Rs 50.16 per passenger per minute.
