In reference to the recent decision to ban civil servants from engaging in share trading during office hours, the Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) has issued a directive regarding the non-operation of the Trade Management System (TMS) during these hours.

According to the CIAA's decision, all government and public agencies in Nepal are instructed to ensure that the TMS is not operational during office hours. The directive also mandates the use of information technology to verify whether the TMS system is functioning during these times. The CIAA has emphasized the importance of adhering to this instruction. Compliance with this order is anticipated to be enforced promptly to align with the government's broader initiative to address concerns about civil servants' focus on their official duties.
