Citizens Bank Completes Global Money Week 2025 with Financial Literacy Campaign Across Nepal
Citizens Bank International conducted a financial literacy program under the theme "Think before you follow, Wise Money Tomorrow" from March 18 to 24, 2025, reaching thousands of people across all seven provinces of Nepal. The initiative aimed to raise awareness of financial knowledge, emphasizing the importance of financial literacy, electronic banking, and the risks of financial crimes.
The bank held events in numerous cities and towns, educating youth and students about financial systems and the importance of using banking services for transactions. Citizens Bank, recently awarded "Bank of the Year 2024," also introduced Nepal's first "Citizens PhonePe Credit Card" and enabled stock applications and CRN services through its mobile banking app. The bank operates 200 branches, 167 ATMs, and over 18 lakh customers nationwide.
