Citizens Bank Expands Network with 198th Branch in Panipokhari
Citizens Bank International Limited, serving customers for 18 years, has inaugurated its 198th branch in Panipokhari, Kathmandu. With this addition, the bank now operates 39 branches in the Kathmandu Valley and 55 in Bagmati Province. The new branch was inaugurated by Chairman Prabal Jung Pandey, who emphasized the bank's commitment to prudent banking and good governance.
The event was attended by board members, the CEO, senior management, local representatives, business leaders, and community members. The branch will offer full retail banking services, with a focus on small and medium enterprises.
To mark the launch, customers opening accounts at the branch will receive free corporate mobile and internet banking for a year, discounted Demat account fees, and locker facility benefits.
Citizens Bank, recently awarded "Bank of the Year 2024," has introduced Nepal’s first virtual credit card, "Citizens FonePay Credit Card," and allows share applications and CRN number services via its mobile banking app. The bank operates across 60 districts with 198 branches, 163 ATMs, 3 extension counters, and 74 branchless banking units, serving 1.85 million customers.
