Citizens Mutual Fund-1 (CMF1) Nears Maturity: Delisting Process Initiated

Citizens Mutual Fund-1 (CMF1), a closed-end mutual fund managed by Citizens Capital Limited and sponsored by Citizens Bank International Limited, is set to mature on Falgun 19, 2081. Launched as a seven-year investment scheme, the fund consists of 8.2 crore units, each valued at Rs. 10.

As mandated by Clause 8.9 of the SEBON-approved prospectus and Clause 31(1)(a) of the Mutual Fund Regulation, 2067, the fund must be liquidated upon maturity. In compliance with Clause 31(8), an application has been submitted for its delisting from the stock exchange at least one month before maturity, effectively ceasing all secondary market transactions post-delisting.

Following the delisting, the investor payout process will commence. Unitholders will receive official notifications regarding redemption procedures and fund distribution timelines. Investors and stakeholders are advised to stay updated through official communications from Citizens Capital Limited regarding the fund’s liquidation and payout schedule.
