Citizens Mutual Fund 1 Set for Maturity and Delisting on Falgun 19, 2081

"Citizens Mutual Fund-1 (CMF1)", a closed-end mutual fund managed by Citizens Capital Limited and sponsored by Citizens Bank International Limited, will mature on Falgun 19, 2081. The fund, comprising 8.2 crore units valued at Rs. 10 per unit, was initiated as a seven-year investment scheme and is now nearing the end of its tenure.
As per the Securities Board of Nepal (SEBON)-approved prospectus, Clause 8.9, and the Mutual Fund Regulation, 2067, Clause 31(1)(a), the fund must undergo liquidation upon maturity. In line with Clause 31(8) of the same regulation, an application has been submitted to delist Citizens Mutual Fund 1 from the stock exchange at least one month before maturity, ceasing all secondary market transactions for the fund post-delisting.
Upon delisting, investor payout procedures will commence. Unitholders will receive notifications regarding the redemption process and fund distribution timelines as per regulatory requirements.
