Cloudy Skies with Scattered Rain and Thunderstorms Expected Across Multiple Provinces

The Meteorological Forecasting Division of the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology has reported that today’s weather across the country is expected to be partly to generally cloudy. This condition is attributed to the combined influence of local winds, westerly winds, and a low-pressure area extending from Uttar Pradesh to West Bengal in India.

Light to moderate rain accompanied by thunder and lightning is likely to occur in several locations within the Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini provinces, with isolated occurrences in other regions of the country. Additionally, gusty winds are anticipated in select areas of the Gandaki and Lumbini provinces. There is also a possibility of light snowfall in one or two locations within the high hilly and mountainous regions.

Tonight, the weather is forecasted to remain partly to generally cloudy in the Koshi, Madhesh, and Bagmati provinces, as well as in the hilly regions. The rest of the country is expected to experience partly cloudy to mainly fair conditions. Light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning is likely to continue in a few locations within the Koshi, Madhesh, and Bagmati provinces.
