Daily Market Summary: NEPSE Index Loses 1.89% and Closes at 1,934.11, All Sector Closes Red

The NEPSE index closed at 1,934.11 today after losing -37.27 points from last trading day's closing. This is a loss of 1.89%. The index had lost 7.56 points on Friday.

The index opened at 1,971.84, and the intraday lowest was 1,929.24. It then made an intraday high at 1,973.79 and ultimately closed at 1,934.11.

223 scrips traded hands via 27,006 transactions. Furthermore, a total of 3,666,891 shares exchanged hands amounting to Rs. 1.134 Arba in the turnover amount. This is higher than Friday’s turnover of Rs. 73.53 Crore.

Total market capitalization stood at Rs 27.57 kharba. The market have declined by 40% since NEPSE had made an all-time high on 18th August 2021, which equals a loss of Rs. 17.10 Kharba in market capitalization. 

Nepal Doorsanchar Company Limited (NTC) had the highest turnover of Rs. 10.29 crores closing at a market price of Rs. 867.50 The shares of River Falls Power Limited (RFPL) traded the most.

Adhikhola Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (AKBSL) gained the highest 9.99% each and technically hit a positive circuit for the day.

On the other side of things, River Falls Power Limited (RFPL) lost the highest 9.56%.

All sector indices closed red, and “HydroPower" lost the highest 3.85% while " Manufacturing and Processing" lost the least 0.68%.
