Decline in Core Business Revenue and Higher Provision Results 79.19% Decrease in Net Profit of Grameen Bikas Laghubitta for Q3; NPL at 7.94%

Grameen Bikas Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (GBLBS) published the third-quarter report of FY 2079/2080 with a net profit of 5.9 Crores. In the relevant quarter of the previous year, the company generated a net profit of Rs. 28.3 Crores. The net profit in this quarter has decreased by 79.19% as compared to relevant quarter of previous year.
The net interest income (core revenue) has decreased by 26.48% to Rs. 67.31 crores compared to Rs. 91.56 crores in the corresponding quarter of the previous year.
Similarly, the borrowings of the company decreased by 16.70% to Rs. 5.70 Arba which was Rs. 6.84 Arba in the corresponding quarter of the previous year. The deposits of the company decreased by 4.55% to Rs 3.75 arba. The company’s loans and advances also decreased by 10.03% to 12.71 Arba in this quarter.
The paid-up capital of the company stood at Rs. 98.25 crores in this quarter and its reserve and surplus stood at Rs. 1.33 Arba.
The company's non-performing loans stand at 7.94% till this quarter which was 4.23% in the corresponding quarter.
Its annualized earnings per share (EPS) stands at Rs. 8.01. The net worth per share is Rs. 235.87.
