Devendra Raman Khanal Sworn In as New CEO of Rastriya Banijya Bank

Devendra Raman Khanal has been appointed as the Chief Executive Officer of Rastriya Banijya Bank Limited and took the oath of office and secrecy from Chairman Dilip Kumar Dhungana on Friday. Khanal has been appointed for a four-year term by the bank's board meeting held on Jestha 10, 2081, in accordance with the Banking and Financial Institutions Act, 2073, and the bank's regulations.

At the swearing-in ceremony, Khanal pledged to implement government and central bank policies to provide quality services and enhance stakeholder benefits. Previously the Acting CEO, Khanal is a Chartered Accountant with a postgraduate degree in management and an LLB. The bank had called for applications for the CEO position through an open competition on Baisakh 07, 2081.

The event also saw congratulations and best wishes extended to Khanal from the bank's board, management committee, and trade union leaders, with the program conducted by Company Secretary Hemraj Kharel.
