Double digit fall on the last trading day of the week; turnover sees a dip as well

The market today saw a huge fall of 10.56 points and closed at 1267.18 points losing 0.83%. The turnover was of Rs.57.38 Crore which was achieved from trade of 2,196,926 units of shares through 6,657 transactions trading scrips of 169 companies.

Prabhu Bank (PRVU) had the highest turnover at Rs.4.69 Crore with its LTP standing at Rs.239 per share. National Hydropower Company (NHPC) stood ahead in terms of volume traded after trade of 241,416 units of shares.

The following were today’s top gainers and losers:

Sensitive Index lost 2.49 points and closed at 269.23 points while Float Index lost 0.86 points and closed at 92.38 points.

Hotels and Manufacturing and Production sectors were the only gaining sub-indices, gaining 0.68% and 1.14% respectively. The top losing sub-index was Hydropower sector after it lost 1.51% today.
