Dry Landslides Disrupt Araniko and Helambu Highways in Kavrepalanchowk

Both the Araniko and Helambu highways have been significantly disrupted due to dry landslides that occurred early this morning. The landslides struck at Bhumlu Rural Municipality-8 along the Araniko Highway and Panchkhal Municipality-4, leading to severe obstructions.

According to the District Police Office, the landslides have effectively blocked both highways, creating substantial delays for travelers. Emergency response teams are actively working to clear the debris and restore vehicular movement.

Deputy Superintendent of Police Raj Kumar Shrestha reported that, while efforts to reopen the highways are ongoing, small vehicles are currently being redirected through alternative routes to reach their destinations. Authorities are urging travelers to exercise caution and check for the latest updates before embarking on their journeys.
