Elections for National Assembly Committee Chairpersons Scheduled for September 16

The elections for the chairpersons of the Legislation Management Committee and the Public Policy and Delegated Legislation Committee under the National Assembly will take place on September 16. National Assembly Chairperson Narayan Prasad Dahal announced the election date during Tuesday's session, in line with Rule 150 of the National Assembly Rules, 2075.

Additionally, two annual reports were submitted to the upper house. Minister Devendra Dahal, on behalf of Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, presented the Attorney General's 2022/23 Annual Report, while Maya Prasad Sharma submitted the 2023/24 report of the Public Policy and Delegated Legislation Committee.

The next meeting of the National Assembly is scheduled for September 15.
