Embassy of Nepal in Berlin Hosts Reception for President Ramchandra Paudel
The Nepali Embassy in Berlin, Germany, hosted a reception on Sunday in honor of President Ramchandra Paudel, who is currently visiting Germany.
During the event, President Paudel emphasized the enduring connection of Nepalis to their homeland, urging them not to forget their roots. "A one-time Nepali is ever a Nepali," he stated, calling upon all Nepalis to contribute to the country's economic development using their acquired knowledge, skills, and technology.
President Paudel also reflected on his recent address to the International Labour Organization conference, where he appealed to the international community to respect labor and social justice issues. Highlighting the global challenge of climate change, he stressed the need for developed countries to assist developing nations in mitigating its impacts, especially those least responsible for it.
Ambassador of Nepal to Germany, Ramkaji Khadka, along with Non-Resident Nepalis, welcomed President Paudel. Ambassador Khadka briefed the President on the multi-dimensional aspects of German-Nepal relations, development, and cooperation. He also discussed the situation of Nepalis in Germany, including their work, challenges, and the Embassy's ongoing cooperation and coordination efforts, as reported by the President's Personal Secretariat.
The Non-Resident Nepali Association in Germany felicitated President Paudel during the reception. Earlier that afternoon, the President visited German institutes engaged in science, technology, and climate change research.
President Paudel arrived in Berlin on Saturday night after concluding his visit to Switzerland. Invited by the President of Germany, he is scheduled to hold an official meeting with his German counterpart, Dr. Frank-Walter Steinmeier, today.
