Everest Bank and NCHL Partner to Enable Cross-Border QR Payments in Nepal

Everest Bank Limited and NCHL have signed an agreement to enable cross-border merchant payments in Nepal through NCHL's 'Cross-border National Payments Interface (NPIx)'. This will allow users of Alipay+ network devices to scan NEPALPAY merchant QR codes enrolled by Everest Bank.

This agreement follows NCHL’s earlier partnership with Ant International to facilitate cross-border payments via QR codes for customers using apps from Alipay+ network partners.

Tourists from countries like China, Hong Kong, Singapore, and others can now make payments at NEPALPAY-enabled merchants across Nepal.

Everest Bank has enrolled over 23,000 merchants in NEPALPAY QR and has 129 branches nationwide. The Alipay+ network connects e-wallets from multiple countries, supporting seamless cross-border payments.
