Everest Bank and NCHL Partner to Enable Cross-Border QR Payments in Nepal via Alipay+

Everest Bank Limited and NCHL have signed an agreement to enable cross-border QR payments in Nepal through Alipay+.

This partnership allows tourists from countries like China, Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia, and others to use their domestic mobile wallets to scan NEPALPAY QR codes across Nepal.

Alipay+ is a global payment network that connects over 30 issuing instruments and 300 acquiring networks, supporting a seamless cross-border payment experience.

NEPALPAY, part of the National Payment Switch, facilitates QR interoperability at multiple levels and currently has over 850,000 merchants in its network.

Everest Bank, with more than 14 lakh customers, plays a key role in the implementation, enrolling over 23,000 merchants in NEPALPAY QR.
