Everest Insurance Company (EIC) Calls AGM; When's the Book Closure for 8.42% Dividend?

Everest Insurance Company Limited (EIC) has called its 26th AGM on 10th Jestha, 2078. The AGM will be held in the company's central office in Hattisar, Kathmandu, starting at 2 pm that day. The meeting will be streamed virtually to investors.

Among other agendas, the AGM will endorse the 8.42% dividend for the fiscal year 2076/77. The 110th meeting of the board of directors held on Falgun 20 decided on the matter. The company has proposed 8% in bonus shares and 0.42% cash dividend for tax purposes. Since the paid-up capital of the company is Rs. 1,09,59,30,000, the bonus shares are worth Rs. 8,76,74,400 and the cash dividend is worth Rs. 46,14,442.

Books will be closed on Baisakh 29. Thus, investors maintained before that day are entitled to the dividend payout and can also attend the AGM.
