Finance Minister Bishnu Prasad Paudel Inaugurates New Rastriya Banijya Bank Building, Emphasizes Leadership Goals

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance Bishnu Prasad Paudel has urged Rastriya Banijya Bank (RBBL) to become the leading bank in Nepal by adapting to changing times.

Speaking at the inauguration of RBBL's newly constructed Lumbini Regional Office and Butwal Khasyauli Branch, he stressed the need for modernized, customer-friendly services to enhance its appeal and align with customer expectations.

Board Chairman Dilip Kumar Dhungana highlighted the bank's focus on agriculture, energy, trade, health, and renewable energy, reaffirming its commitment to providing regionally relevant services.

CEO Devendra Raman Khanal emphasized the bank's increased investments in productive sectors like tourism, agriculture, and infrastructure while enhancing financial literacy and community outreach. He credited collective efforts for the bank's growth and affirmed its resilience despite economic challenges.

Butwal Industry and Commerce Association President Hari Prasad Aryal called for stable interest rates, while local leaders acknowledged RBBL’s role in addressing economic challenges. The event also included a financial literacy initiative.

With 294 branches, 312 ATMs, 99 branchless banking services, and various digital offerings like Internet banking, QR payments, and advanced mobile banking, RBBL is expanding its presence and modernizing its operations nationwide.
