The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) Index has a gain of 58.58 points, or 2.85%, over the previous day's closing to conclude at 2,111.24 points. The index had incurred a gain of 22.10 points in the trading session before.
The trading day commenced with the index opening at 2,065.63, dipping to an intraday low of 2,064.08, and peaking at an intraday high of 2,111.24, which ultimately served as the closing figure for the day.
In recognizing the pivotal role played by the stock market in the nation's economic development, the Finance Ministry has underscored the need for a collective effort to address existing issues and expedite initiatives. The unwavering commitment of the finance minister to enhance the stock market has successfully created a positive atmosphere, fostering growth and confidence within the sector.
During today's trading, there were 305 different stocks traded in 82,746 transactions. The volume of shares traded amounted to 10,609,597 with a total turnover of Rs. 4.55 Arba. Market capitalization stood at Rs. 33.18 Kharba, with a float market capitalization of Rs. 11.30 Kharba.
SHIVAM CEMENTS LTD (SHIVM) had the highest turnover, reaching Rs. 37.19 crores, and closed at a market price of Rs. 554.
Similarly, Five companies hit positive circuit today.
On the flip side, Himalayan 80-20 (H8020) experienced the highest loss of 2.57%, followed by Molung Hydropower Company Limited (MHCL) with a loss of 2.53%.
Today, all sector indices closed in green, with the "Life Insurance Index" leading with the highest gain of 5.44%, while the "HydroPower Index" recorded the least gain at 0.99%.
