The Finance Ministry has allocated funds for the improvement of the Ganeshman route (Thankot-Chitlang road section), following a special request from the Mayor of Chandragiri municipality on January 26, granting Rs 80 million for immediate upgrading activities. Subsequently, a team led by Minister for Physical Infrastructure and Transport, Prakash Jwala, along with Mayor Giri, Deputy-Mayor Basanti Shrestha, and Municipality Spokesperson Krishna Prasad Khadgi, inspected the Ganeshman route.

The inspection was prompted by a tragic car accident that resulted in five fatalities on January 23 at Setopaharo along the road section. Minister Jwala, during the inspection, emphasized the need for immediate road upgrades and completion within the designated timeframe, urging authorities to expedite the legal process. He stressed that safeguarding people's lives is the government's foremost responsibility. Mayor Giri expressed gratitude to the Finance Minister for the budget allocation, facilitating the progress of the Ganeshman route upgrading efforts.
