First Trading Day After Dashain: NEPSE Closes at 1,898.38 After Gaining Huge 44.62 Points, Finance Takes Lead by 4.69%

The NEPSE index closed at 1,898.38 today after gaining 44.62 points from last trading day's closing. This is a gain of 2.41%. The index had gained 16.29 points in the last trading day before Dashain.

The index opened at 1,854.57 and created the intraday low at 1,854.53. While it went as high as 1,898.45, it ultimately closed at 1,898.38.

224 scrips traded hands via 14,991 transactions. A total of 2,533,393 shares exchanged hands amounting to only Rs. 83.68 Crores in the turnover amount. This is higher than last trading day's turnover of Rs. 63.24 Crores.

Himalayan Everest Insurance Limited Promoter (HEIP) shares traded the most and had the highest turnover of Rs. 22.69 crores closing at a market price of Rs. 279 per share.

Saptakoshi Development Bank Ltd (SAPDBL) gained the highest 9.95% and technically hit positive circuit for the day.

On the other side of things, Global IME Balanced Fund-1 (GIBF1) lost the highest 4.48% today.

All sector indices closed green, "Finance" gained the highest 4.69% while "Mutual Fund" gained the least 0.7%.
