FNCCI to Elect President Through Direct Election Following Statute Amendment
The Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI) will elect its president through direct election, a significant change from the previous practice where the senior vice president would automatically assume the top post. This decision was made during a meeting of the FNCCI working committee on Monday, where they amended the statute to implement this new election process.
FNCCI President Chandra Prasad Dhakal stated that the working committee unanimously passed the statute amendment proposal. The amendment will be enacted from the next term after the current vice president serves as the FNCCI President. Additionally, the amended statute will establish the position of two senior vice presidents within the organization.
