Fonepay Launches “Bohni, Fonepay QR Batai” Initiative to Transform Merchant Payments

Fonepay, Nepal's leading digital payments network, launched the "Bohni, Fonepay QR Batai" initiative to encourage merchants to accept their first payment of the day—referred to as "Bohni"—via Fonepay QR.

This initiative aims to shift the norm from cash-only payments to digital payments, reducing the hassle of providing change and eliminating the need for credit facilities.

Merchants can participate by logging into the Fonepay Business App, agreeing to the terms, and starting to accept Fonepay QR payments.

As an incentive, one lucky merchant will win an electric scooter. Mr. Sumit Das, Chief Business Officer at Fonepay, emphasized the campaign's goal to promote digital payments for increased convenience and efficiency. Fonepay, a licensed Payment System Operator in Nepal, is committed to expanding its digital payment network to benefit merchants nationwide.
