Fonepay Sets Record with Over 1 Million QR Transactions in a Single Day

On March 30, 2025, Fonepay, Nepal's leading payment network, achieved a historic milestone by successfully processing over 1 million QR transactions in a single day, with a total transaction volume of NPR 26.2 billion. This reinforces Fonepay’s leadership in Nepal’s digital payment landscape.

Indian tourists also contributed significantly through the Nepal-India cross-border UPI payment system, completing over 3,300 transactions worth NPR 76 lakh. This integration has simplified payments for visitors while promoting digital transactions nationwide.
