Gham Power, in partnership with Practical Action and Swanbarton, has secured a project from UNIDO to install a 4 MWh energy storage system in Nepal, one of the largest in the country. Launched by UNIDO Director-General Gerd Müller, the project aims to reduce industrial reliance on diesel by integrating smart grids and solar-powered battery storage.

Expected to cut carbon emissions by 2,800 tonnes and replace 1,000 kiloliters of diesel over 25 years, the initiative will lower energy costs and enhance sustainability with AI-powered energy optimization. As one of five global projects under UNIDO's Accelerate-to-Demonstrate (A2D) Facility, this milestone marks a major step toward Nepal’s clean energy transition.
