Global IME Bank convenes its 17th AGM; elects Mr. Chandra Prasad Dhakal as its chairman again

Global IME Bank has convened its 17^th AGM for the FY 2079-80 on Mangsir 28, 2080 under the leadership of its chairman.

Apart from the regular financial reports of the previous fiscal year, the AGM has also endorsed the board’s proposal of 1 % bonus shares and 8% cash dividend for taxation purposes. After the proposed bonus shares are capitalized, the paid-up value of the bank will scale up to Rs 36.12 arba, as per the media statement.

The AGM has also elected a new 6-member board which has once again elected Mr. Chandra Prasad Dhakal as the bank’s chairman for the new tenure. Apart from chairman Mr. Dhakal, the AGM has also elected Mr Ram Bahadur Bhandari and Mr. Radhesh Pant as the board members from the promoter shareholder group and Mr. Narayan Prasad Poudel, Mr. Madan Lal Joshi and Mr. Krishna Prasad Sharma as board members from public shareholder group, as per the media statement.

The bank had earned Rs 6.69 arba as net profit, raised deposits of Rs 4.39 kharba, disbursed loans of Rs 3.74 kharba during the review period, as per the media statement.

The bank currently has 355 branches across all 77 districts, and more than 1100 other service points serving more than 45 lakh customers across the nation.
