Global IME Bank Names Bhagirathi Gyawali as Director and Surendra Regmi as CEO

Global IME Bank has appointed Bhagirathi Bhattarai Gyawali as independent/women director and Surendra Raj Regmi as Chief Executive Officer. Gyawali, who holds a master's degree in public administration and economics from Tribhuvan University, has extensive experience in teaching and various associations.

The bank's board has appointed Surendra Raj Regmi, the senior deputy chief executive, as the new chief executive officer effective from Bhadra 1, 2081. Regmi, with over three decades in the banking sector, joined Global IME Bank in 2065 as a deputy manager and holds an MA in Economics from Tribhuvan University and an MBA from the University of Wales, UK. He has expertise in credit management, risk and control, banking operations, compliance, and merger management.
