Global IME Bank Partners with ICICI Bank Canada to Simplify Banking for Nepali Immigrants

Global IME Bank Limited and ICICI Bank Canada have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to streamline banking services for Nepali immigrants in Canada through ICICI Bank's 'Hello Canada' programme.

The partnership will offer digital banking solutions, allowing newcomers to set up essential services like bank accounts, bill payments, and remittances before arriving in Canada. The collaboration aims to ease financial integration for Nepali students, permanent residents, and workers.

Executives from both banks emphasized the importance of this initiative in strengthening financial ties between Nepal and Canada and enhancing cross-border remittance solutions.
