Gold and silver traders, along with a committee of goldsmiths, staged demonstrations on Wednesday against Shree Riddhi Siddhi Jewellers. The protest was held in response to allegations that the jewelers advertised for cheap popularity and raised suspicions within the goldsmith community.

The recent offer by Shree Riddhi Siddhi Jewellers, operating from shops 1 and 10 at Bishal Bazar, Newroad, promised significant discounts on wages and gold solder to customers. Protesters claim this move could destabilize the entire gold business and accused the company of attempting to clear its stock of illegally imported gold.
