Gold Breaks Previous All-Time High Record; Gains Rs 500 Per Tola On a Single Day to Trade at Rs. 149,900
The gold market in Nepal has reached unprecedented levels today, setting a new record high.
According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers' Association (FENEGOSIDA), the price of fine gold has surged to Rs. 1,49,900 per tola, a notable increase from yesterday's Rs. 1,49,400 per tola.
Tejabi gold prices have also risen to Rs. 1,49,200 per tola, up by Rs. 500 from the previous day's rate of Rs. 1,48,700 per tola.
Earlier this year, on July 17, 2024, the peak price for fine gold reached Rs. 1,49,800 per tola, illustrating the market's volatility.
In contrast, silver prices have decreased slightly by Rs. 5 per tola, now standing at Rs. 1,795 per tola, down from Rs. 1,800 per tola reported yesterday.
Despite the rising domestic gold prices, global economic factors continue to influence the market. The current international gold price is $2,457.90 per ounce, while silver is priced at $28.80 per ounce globally.
