Gold Once More Sets an All-Time High Record; Spikes Up by Rs. 800 to Trade at Rs. 153,000

The gold market in Nepal has set a new record, with a notable surge on August 21, 2024.

According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers' Association (FENEGOSIDA), the price of fine gold has climbed to Rs. 1,53,000 per tola, marking a significant increase from the previous day's Rs. 1,52,200 per tola.

Tejabi gold has also experienced a rise, now trading at Rs. 1,52,300 per tola, up by Rs. 800 from yesterday's Rs. 1,51,500 per tola.

This follows a prior peak in fine gold prices, which reached Rs. 1,52,600 per tola on August 18, 2024, highlighting the market's volatility.

Silver prices have also gone up, increasing by Rs. 15 per tola to Rs. 1,835 per tola, compared to Rs. 1,820 per tola yesterday.

While domestic market trends show a rising pattern, global economic factors continue to exert influence. The current international gold price stands at $2,516.10 per ounce, with silver priced at $29.51 per ounce on the global market.
