Gold Prices in Nepal Reach Historic High as Market Sees Sharp Increase
Gold prices in Nepal have surged to an all-time high, with an unprecedented rise of Rs. 600 in a single day. The surge has set new benchmarks in the market, reflecting strong momentum and growing demand for the precious metal.
According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers' Association, the price of fine gold has soared to Rs. 1,76,800 per tola, surpassing the previous day’s rate of Rs. 1,76,200 per tola. This represents a sharp increase of Rs. 600, marking a significant jump in a short period.
Tejabi gold, a popular variant, also saw a notable rise. Its price increased to Rs. 1,76,100 per tola, up from Rs. 1,75,500 per tola on the previous day. The increase in both fine gold and Tejabi gold prices has set a new record in the Nepali gold market, breaking the previous all-time high of Rs. 1,76,200 per tola recorded on March 28, 2025.
