Gold Prices Rise in Local Market Following Global Surge

The surge in gold prices in the international market has had a direct impact on the local market as well. Today, as the market opened, the price of gold has increased by Rs. 1,100 per tola compared to the previous day.

On Monday, gold was being bought and sold at Rs. 157,000 per tola, but today, it has risen to NPR 158,100 per tola, according to the Nepal Gold and Silver Traders' Association.

Silver has also seen a price increase, rising by Rs. 15 per tola. On Monday, silver was being traded at NPR 1,860 per tola, but today, it is being bought and sold at Rs. 1,875 per tola.

In the international market, the price of gold has increased by USD 24.56 per ounce, reaching USD 2,727.76 per ounce today.
