Gold Prices Soar to Historic Levels, Breaking Previous Records

The price of gold in Nepal continues its upward trend, setting a fresh all-time high in the domestic market.
As per the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association, the price of fine gold soared by Rs. 2,700 on Wednesday alone, reaching a record-breaking Rs. 187,000 per tola.
This marks a notable rise from Tuesday’s rate of Rs. 186,000 per tola, surpassing the previous record set on April 13, 2025.
Tejabi gold, which remains a popular choice among consumers, also saw a significant increase, climbing to Rs. 186,300 per tola from Rs. 183,600.
The surge isn’t limited to gold; silver prices have also gained momentum, rising by Rs. 10 per tola. It is now being traded at Rs. 1,955 per tola, up from the previous Rs. 1,945.
